Carbon fiber is 75% lighter than steel but 10 times as strong. It is an advanced material that attracts attention for its ability to increase the efficiency of energy use through weight reduction. The global market demand for carbon fiber is growing by more than 10% every year. Having attained a production capacity of 2,000 tons in 2013, Hyosung Advanced Materials aims to join the ranks of the industry’s top players by 2025.
