Job description Electrical Engineer Department: Engineering and Maintenance FLSA: To Be Determined Reports To: Engineering & Maintenance Manager Supervises: N/A Position Summary The Electrical Engineer shall provide electrical troubleshooting support for all plant manufacturing and facility equipment. They also recommend new equipment & lead projects needed to improve safety, manufacturing, and reliability throughout the plant. This is a hands-on position. General Qualifications Education/Knowledge: · BS Degree in Electrical Engineering or 2yr Technology Electrical Degree (Applicable experience in lieu of education will be considered for this position) Bi-lingual in English and Korean preferred Experience (preferred): · Minimum of 2 years experience in industrial electrical maintenance · Demonstrated experience with troubleshooting industrial electrical problems. · Experience working on AC drives, Load cell systems, PLC’s, NG fired burner systems and control loops. · Preventative & Predictive Maintenance Principles and Systems · Experience with Industrial Safety Systems · Tire Cord and Carpet Manufacturing processes preferred (Not required) · Familiar with Electrical, Mechanical, and Thermal technologies Skills (required and preferred): · Microsoft Office & AutoCAD drafting software (preferred) · SAP experience (preferred) · Good written and oral communication skills · Able to use multimeter, amp probe, motor megger · Able to read and understand Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Hydraulic & Structural engineering drawings. Physical Demands/Work Environment: Vision, hearing, and speech are required. Manual dexterity is necessary. Must have the ability to work the hours and days required to complete the essential functions of the position, as scheduled. Essential Functions · Provide plantwide support to address electrical problems throughout the facility – tire cord, carpet & facility operations. · Support and drive improvements in plant-wide Preventative & Predictive Maintenance Programs · Assist the Maintenance & Engineering team with Capex Projects · Work with Plant Safety Steering Committee and production department to ensure a safe work environment. · Manage daily costs through good purchasing practices and material selection. · Assist in maintaining an orderly and cost-effective Supply Room and Inventory · Ensure required training is scheduled and performed. · Work with outside vendors & contractors to make repairs to production & facility equipment. Additional Responsibilities · Attend Meetings as required. · Maintain and manage Engineering and Maintenance Records. · Performs other duties as required.
